The Office of Information Technology (OIT) Help Desk lends a variety of hardware to
University of Maryland College Park faculty, staff, and teaching assistants.
This equipment may be used by borrowers to work at
home, to communicate with the office and colleagues while
on leave, to supply additional computing power during
special projects, and to enhance presentations.
Also, due to the popularity of the hardware
rental program, some patrons may encounter a waiting period for
some of the equipment. Reservations must be made a minimum
of two business days prior to the needed date. All
reservations must be made using the on-line Hardware Reservation Form.
Reservations are not definite unless a confirmation, which will
include a confirmation number, is received from our office. All
equipment must be picked up and returned Monday through Friday,
8:00 a.m. through 4:30 p.m. in room 1400 of the Computer and Space
Sciences Building.
Note: Our Hardware Rental Policies have
recently changed. Please read our new
policy before submitting a rental request.
